The core block is made from solid Hard Maple and the outer skin is made from 1/2" thick maple burl that has a polyurethane finish on it. NO VENEERS HERE! This block holds 6 steak knives, a steel, 2 large knives, 4 medium knives, scissors, and 4 smaller knives. It rests on brown rubber feet attached with stainless steel screws. Other woods and custom sizes available.
